My C5 Aircross needs a new Timing belt, but it appears the kit is not available and is on back order!
Can someone tell me if there is an issue with the timing belt kit availability?

It depends on your vehicle, there are different kits for different engines, but if you have had this from the dealer, then there may well be a high demand at this time, so hence the back order.

If this is for a 1.2 Petrol, with the known issues I wouldn't go for anything other than a kit from the dealer.
