Engine noise

I find the engine noise from my C3 Aircross PureTech unpleasant and intrusive at city speeds. Has anyone successfully dampened it? I suspect that the lone carpet tile atop the engine is next to useless!

Don't really notice my engine. Seems quite quiet me.
Orange 110bhp Feel with City and Family packs.

I seem to get a lot of road noise at higher speeds. Enough to make talking to the wife a strain. My previous 2 Cacti were quieter.

Hello, I am with the EB2DTS 130 and it is absolutely quiet . You should have it checked for spark plugs or if the crankshaft damper pulley was installed on the right position. I drive 90 % of the time in city. The rest is highway between 130-150 kph and it stays really quiet.
