Does any one know the settings for a C5 Aircross 2019, had mine done and the fitter used C5 settings and the car feels odd now (I had a new set of tyres fitted at the same time)

Also the steering wheel is now not straight (left had down) and now if I turn on the lane keeping cruise control the car drags me over to the right, this was a bit scary 😱 I’m guessing the alignment has to be spot on with the wheel straight for the system to work properly?

I’m also not convinced that the C5 and mine are the same settings?

Cheers all

Of course they are not the same settings - these are completely different cars and the garage should of know that.....

1) Get your money back and change your fitter, he obviously has no clue what he is doing.
2) Go to a proper place that has laser tracking and clarify with the person that they have the correct vehicle and engine beforehand.
3) Suspension Geometry references and values will differ depending on the specific vehicle / engine type.

If you get these wrong this can be extremely expensive as damage to tyres and other components will cost you far more. I'd let your dealer do it, as if not themselves, the will have a garage they allocate this sort of work to that they trust to do the job properly.

I would recommend that you always take a car to a specialist tyre fitter for this, as I have had at least 2 occasions when main dealers got it very wrong. The worst was on my daughter's Fiat Panda, where they admitted that they did it by eye as they didn't have the alignment gear. The car was practically undriveable. The tyre fitter said, and I quote 'What cowboy did this?'

I agree it will be very hit and miss: My dealer uses ATS ( a large outfit next door), but the chief technician had to walk over and talk them through doing My C5 MK III correctly (has to be tracked with engine / ignition on for hydractive vehicles) as they were not sure they had it right and I knew they had the wrong vehicle. All was well in the end, but a specialist would also be my recommendation, as long as you double check they have your vehicle absolutely correctly identified.

On a previous C5 of mine, another branch of a well know national tyre fitter completely wrecked the tracking, causing all 4 new tyres to become shredded in a few months. Suffice it to say they cancelled all tracking bookings until their machine was recalibrated and I got all my tyres replaced and costs for tracking reimbursed.

There is a lot to be said for finding a trusted individual / specialist and sticking with them.

When I went for four wheel alignment none of my local garages would touch the car due to it having autonomous braking and lane assist. They explained if they set it wrong and you end up in an accident it can leave them liable.

In the end I had to find a Citroen dealer that did laser alignment to have it done.

If they set it wrong and you end up in accident they SHOULD be liable. I see nothing wrong with that. If they do their jobs correctly then they have nothing to worry about. JMHO.
