Well, guys, I've been really bothered with my C5 Aircross lately. I noticed that the engine light comes on from time to time, and I was wondering what was going on. I started noticing that my car had reduced performance, especially when trying to accelerate on the highway. On top of that, I noticed that the idle was a bit unstable, and I had a few misfires, which is frankly frustrating.
I also realized that my fuel consumption had increased lately, and yesterday, I even saw some black smoke coming out of the exhaust. I did some research online and it looks a lot like a faulty EGR valve.
I'm just thinking that if I had read this blog about EGR valve cleaner earlier, maybe I could have avoided all this. It talks exactly about these problems and how to fix them before they become a real headache. I'll definitely go check it out to see if they have any tips for fixing this without breaking the bank at the mechanic's.
