Because of that, it's totally useless to anyone for any sustained period of use.

I deleted the app completely and set it up from scratch but still no solution. I guess the developers don't care about their app.
Does your car have satnav, and is it accurate? I ask because, although I have been a major dissenter of MyCitroen app for a long time, I still use it and it has, in fact, rectified most of the issues I had. It records all journeys made now, but is a bit slow noticing that fuel has been added - but does eventually! I have never experienced incorrect location though, and since the app downloads data from the car, that data should be accurate - unless there is an issue with the data being stored.

Hi srperry,

Yes it does have satnav and I think that my be the issue. So since posting, Citroen contacted me and told me to do a touchscreen/map update which was due. I completed it yesterday but it made no difference. So they called me again and asked for screenshots of my journeys and took information from my app to pass to their technical department. This morning, when I got in the car, instead of using Waze, I switched to the inbuilt Navigation (powered by TomTom apparently). The map said 'area not mapped'. So I drove for a bit, and it still didn't recognise where I was even though I did the map update yesterday. When I parked, it thought I was in Ipswich when in fact, I live just outside Ely. Yesterday driving home from work, it mapped the journey in Braintree, Essex. Something is seriously wrong with the inbuilt satnav. I cannot find out how to reset it, I don't think you can. So I emailed Citroen this morning with my findings and am awaiting a response. Will keep you all updated.

I suggest re-applying the latest map update if you can to resolve any issues with that. If you are still getting issues with incorrect location and have the latest firmware installed, then I'd get the dealer to look at it if you still have warranty.

It's important that you get it recorded at the dealer as an issue now that it has not been resolved (if this is the case after you have done everything at your end re: the updating) and get some confirmation of this from them so you have comeback that it was reported whilst in warranty.

Hi Juan, not sure if you can help me further or not. So yesterday after doing the updates, I wiped the USB stick and formatted it again for other use. Today, I am trying to download the updates again as I did yesterday, however, after putting in my VIN number and description of car, the software update now says NO UPDATES AVAILABLE - obviously because it knows I already downloaded them and installed them in car. How can I get round this problem? I still have all the files in a download folder and I copied them across to my USB stick, but when I put it in the car earlier, nothing happened unlike yesterday when it started the update process.

I can't advise at this stage. as I don't know what system version you have and whether you are trying to install a combined map and firmware update or not. You say above you already applied the updates yesterday, so am confused as to why you would be trying to do this again today for the same updates?

Personally I would only apply the firmware update (s) first and then the map update afterwards.
Always reformat the USB again after the first update and before copying over the next set of files for whichever update you are doing.

I was reapplying the map update because you suggested trying this earlier on to see if that solves the problem. "I suggest re-applying the latest map update if you can to resolve any issues with that. If you are still getting issues with incorrect location and have the latest firmware installed, then I'd get the dealer to look at it if you still have warranty".

I will call the dealership on Monday and see what they suggest. Hopefully, Citroen will also get back to me as well. Thanks for your help anyway.
