After several failures with the windows Citroen update application, I finally had success by running it in Administration Mode even though I was already signed in as an administrator.
(In the Installation Options pane this is what the shield beside the “next” box signifies).
This done is done by right clicking on the Citroen Application Icon on your home screen and select Run as Administrator.
Note -The application itself did not inspire confidence with spelling Citreon C3.)

C3 Navigation Update failure - possible solution
Hi Dave - interesting to read; I had even more basic issues trying to update on the C5 touchscreen firmware (eventual success) and GPS updates (total fail); after following the instructions to the letter (for a change), I was told by my local garage that I needed to ensure my USB stick was a FAT-32 USB stick.
The whole nightmare of getting to the end of loading it to be given "a corrupt file, update failed" message is to be covered under a new post related to the traction battery issues....
