C3 aircross Start & stop default

C3 aircross. LCD screen 2019. New owner (2 weeks)
Can anyone tell me if the start & stop setting always defaults to "ON" ?
If I set it to "OFF" when I next start the engine and look at the setting it's back to "ON" again! Can't find an answer in the full manual.
Apologies if this has been answered before but the forum search won't search for the term "stop & start"

Always defaults to on you will have to switch stop start off every time.

I shouldn't worry too much about it though, as soon as the battery drops to below 80% it will stop working anyway, so will save you having to switch it off every journey.
