After spending time washing and working protection into the bodywork, I noticed that the tailgate does not line up with the various lines on each rear quarter.
I have spoken with the dealer who tell me that this is not covered under warranty - adjustments are specifically excluded. I have had the car for 6 weeks and it was registered as a demo in March 2019.

Can anyone confirm that this is not the same on their vehicle?
I am posting a couple of the 20 or so pictures all around the rear.Image

Think this is normal. Last pic, the plastic part of the tail light goes down, so that the metal part can cover it-

Hi, did you manage to get any help from Citroen customer services?,
My (2nd) brand new C5 Aircross arrived at the dealership with LOTS of scuff marks on the wheel arch surrounds and front bumper, (please look at my post under bodywork problems) trying to get help from the so called "customer service managers" is like trying to swim the Atlantic, hopeless!.
Kind regards,
Stephan.

Many thanks to all who responded.

After investigating in detail, I have now read the warranty which states that adjustments are excluded. this would fall under that.

I have examined a number of new vehicles and have found the tailgates all have the same overlapping joints. Interestingly, where lines are running from body panel into the lower half of the tailgate, these are all in line; you can half the top half or the bottom half aligned, but not both!
I have now just accepted that this is the way it is. The possibility is that any adjustment is going to result in a mess being created which will not be recoverable.

One issue on the tailgate is that one of the inner rear light was showing with an LED segment discoloured. This light unit has now been replaced under warranty. I have also passed another C5 Aircross on the motorway and noted similar discolouration; one to keep an eye on.

Otherwise, really enjoying the car.

Hi John, My 2nd C5 Aircross (in 3 months) has a LOT of bodywork problems including a misaligned Tailgate which let's rain into the boot, when contacting citroen about this and the other defects AFTER my dealership had sent them 9 photos of the problems they replied stating that "as there are NO MANUFACTURING DEFECTS" they cannot help.
My car is being rejected and I will be looking for a car from a different manufacturer.
Kind regards, Steve.

Thanks for that information.
Its a shame that Citroen are closing their eyes to the issues. Seems to be much the same from what I read about the Peugeot 3008/5008 except the problems there seem to be at the front, with bonnet lines not being correct.
I would think it is quite hard to find a suitable replacement after settling on C5 Aircross.
Best wishes
