I have picked this up on Peugeot 3008 group.

There is an update for Android Auto on the C5 Aircross which vastly improves the screen and options on Android Auto.

You can force the update by following the instructions - they worked for my car, registered 9 March 2019.

On your phone start at instruction 0 and follow each step:

7. connect the phone to the car and launch Android Auto on the car's screen
8. At the top of the screen you should see a prompt asking you to try a new improved version
9. follow the on screen instructions.

Great update.

A quick visit to the Android Play store and allow the phone to update, this version of the App was downloaded rather than having to step thru' these points.

Or you just open Auto on your phone, go to 'Settings' and tick the "Try the new Android Auto" box at the top.

That's fine if that option is showing, but like many things on Android not everyone has the same options at the same time.
Lots of people were saying the auto option was there, but many responded that they could not see this hence the full instructions above.
Great to have the shortcut listed - I didn't know about that. Thanks
