All,
I had my C5 Aircross serviced last week 44k / 3 Years and the Technician put on his report exhaust is showing signs of corrosion.
What he put on the report was
"Rear exhaust mounting coming apart, still secure"
See picture.
Anyone else had this. I would have expected these days an exhaust to last longer than this? However, to me this does not look that bad?

When in the dealers the tech has to report any thing they see it does not necessarily mean it going to fail immediately
Personally it looks ok to me for a good while

The report you say refers to the mounting bracket - not the exhaust itself. Brackets are not made of the same material so won't last as long but are easy to replace. The exhaust won't be anything to be concerned about for years yet, I suspect. Put it this way, the exhaust on my C5 was perfect after 11 years.

If this is just coming to 3 years have the dealer replace it under warranty. I had the same fault report at service before MOT.
