Having downloaded and loaded onto a USB stick using Citroen Connect Update app on laptop, the latest Maps update 22.0.0.r-0, I decided to load it into my C3 Aircross EAT6 Flair today.
No way was I going to leave the car with engine running on my drive so I took it for a drive.
Started engine, set heating, set radio to a station I could put up with. TURNED OFF STOP/START. Inserted the stick and answered the questions that appear on the screen and set off.
The update took exactly 45 mins.
Car rebooted the nave system/touchscreen and it all came up. Used sat nav to get home.
Great journey going covered 30 miles in 40 mins Mycitroen App shows 55.4 mpg. Coming back different route, 39.6 miles in 46 mins. App shows 52.3 mpg.
Loved it the trip was on mostly A roads dual carriageway so cruise control ON running at 65 to 70 mph.

There isn't one for my C3 Aircross at the moment. I have done a touchscreen one in the past but for that I didn't move the car, but sat on the drive with engine running as they say.

Possible as you don't get to choose which maps you load it was all of Europe.

Yes Beanee we never have any info on download so you could go through procedure without it being relevant to you.
Noticed in the link i placed above the arrow links on it it do not work for some reason although they did when i looked on it initially.

I just loaded the "latest" map onto my memory stick today and plan, for the first time ever, to update the map while on a 2 1/2 hour drive.
My navigation backup device will be using Google Maps on my phone which, for some reason, a lot of people prefer to use anyway!

It REALLY seems VERY odd that in an age where pollution is such a problem that you have to leave your engineer running for 45 minutes just to update a map! How many other car makers use this procedure?

Not only that but you have to sit in it during the upgrade to avoid the possibility of the car being stolen and so committing a crime? By aiding and abetting?
This my first Citroen car and the love is fading fast . . . . . .

Quite agree regarding the ridiculous procedure to update maps, i'ts even more frustrating when the update fails just before the end, which happened to me yesterday! After driving around aimlessly for 30min waiting for it to install, i arrived back home and got the message 'failed'!
I then had to leave the engine running in the drive for ages and do it again, which thankfully it did. Not good for the environment or to by insurance if the car got nicked with the engine running and unlocked!

It's a bit like doing a BIOS update on a computer, even though the battery is fully charged it has to be plugged to the mains. Believe me if it isn't then it will not boot afterwards.
