Going on a ferry.

I did a quick trawl through old posts but I couldn't find what I needed.

I'm taking the C5A on the ferry soon, and want to secure it on the car-deck, but with the alarm disabled. The manual hints mysteriously at looking up the procedure in The Complete Handbook...

Open the link
At top right touch the French flag
In drop down touch UK
Now touch C5 Aircross picture.
Touch RHD.
Select the year of yours.
A full manual will open
On the left is a section index.
Touch the arrow head next to ACCESS.
Look in list and touch ALARM.
This will take you to the section on the Alarm.
The info you need is in the text.

On the C3 Aircross if you lock it with the key in the door, it won't set the alarm. I think a lot of cars are like that.

A comprehensive and useful reply! I accessed this from the shipboard wifi at the time but didn't leave a comment. Ferry wifi was utterly hopeless for most of the journey.

Five minutes out of port and the alarms on all the cars which hadn't been disabled, started. It must drive the deck crew mad!
