Just to clarify, on the panel by your right knee. Far right button. Depress for 5 secs. A light will illuminate in the switch and an amber car on dotted line symbol, in the Speedo on the dash.
You can turn it on again by a quick press of the switch or it will cycle back on when you next turn the ignition ON.

Just stay in your lane, or indicate if you are moving out. Sorted :)

I have had my 19 plate C3 Aircross for a few weeks now and this feature is the only negative for me.

It seems ridiculous to me that you can not permanently turn this feature off.

It's all well and good people saying turn the steering wheel and indicate before moving but there is many instances when you have to manoeuvre around things where indicating would make absolutely no sense and confuse other road users.

I live rurally in the UK and the roads between me and the nearest town/city are littered with potholes that stay that way for months, or are narrow with a lot of farm traffic. This means that you have to move close to the lines on your left for giving farm traffic more space and move closer to the central divide to avoid dangerous potholes...neither of which are suitable for an indication.

There surely is a permanent fix for this without having to turn it off before every journey?

No there isn't.

I just hold the button and turn it off whilst driving as I have the same rural country conditions and more often there are no white lines and it gets confused. It's my most used button in the vehicle apart from the ignition.
