Tailgate does not open wide enough

I recently purchased a 1.2 aircross 69 reg with only 1100 miles on the clock. Really made up with the vehicle I am 6ft 2 inch and I find that when I open the tailgate to put things into the boot I bang my head. Is the something I need to alter or adjust so it opens wider. Can’t find anything in the user manual. Anybody any ideas please

As far as I know it's non adjustable. The opening will be dictated by the support strut range. If they are made longer so it opens wider then it won't shut as the piston rod will bottom out. I will measure mine tomorrow, height of lip above ground when fully open and strut length.

Ok got home early here's the info.
Car on level ground.
From the face of the strut mounting plate on hatch to end of cylinder 11.5in or 29cm.
From piston end of cylinder to end of piston end cap mount 9in or 23cm.
Hatch wide open. From ground to top lip of hatch 79in or 2m
From ground to the door latch housing 73in or 185.4 in
My car is a 2020 C3 Aircross Flair Auto 130bhp on 17in wheels.
