start/stop not working
Unfortunately it doesn’t make any difference, I always put it in neutral with the handbrake on. Though strangely on a journey yesterday, the stop start worked every time? Perhaps it was because the weather was warmer?

Well blow me down. I’ve now owned my used C3 Aircross auto for 7 months, with stop/start never working, until yesterday. During the 7 months, I’ve only done local mileage, except for two separate 100+ mile journeys. Yesterday, on my third 100+ Mile journey, after about 90 minutes into the journey, the stop/start operated. Just the once, and it hasn’t operated since.

Yes, this is the way they work. Put your foot on the clutch and the engine restarts even if the selector is in neutral.Beanee687 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 5:59 pm Ok today my C3 Aircross Flair Auto had to go to the dealer to have its instrument panel changed under warranty. The RPM needle rubs on the dial. They loaned me a car
A Hyundai i10. Manual not auto so for the first time in 4 years I had a clutch. This car also has stop start but it didn't work. However it did when I found you have to be in neutral with the clutch released.
So my question is do you have to be in neutral with the clutch released on C3/C5 Citroen.
If so is this why for some of you yours don't work.
My C3 being automatic the engine will stop in Drive if brake on.
Car back all fixed new panel.
Since the last time I charged mine up and then left it for 24 hrs without activating any of the electronics the stop start has worked every time I've been out. Even with the Aircon on. The lights changed before it stopped blowing cold air so I don't know if the engine would have kicked back in a while later.

Of course the development engineers never considered fitting an uprated heavy duty starter motor to alleviate this potential problem...........
