Hi,

With the ever expanding amount of rubbish we are having to cart about for camping etc. We are thinking of fitting a towbar to the Aircross. Firstly has anyone here fitted an aftermarket towbar or gone down the dealer route?

We are not DIY when it comes to majors like towing and with where we are based it seems the dealer is the best option. After going online to see about booking the car in to get it fitted it seems far to cheap, am I missing something?

Total price £255 seems a bargain compared to prices here.

Hi, just in case you aren't familiar with Tow Bars, and I apologise if I'm teaching you to suck eggs, but do you have parking sensors on your Aircross? If so you will to need to fit a removable swan neck Tow Bar which is a lot more expensive then a fixed one, otherwise you will have to permanently turn off the rear parking sensors.
I've had removable Swan neck bars fitted to my Citroens for a bike carrier, unless you go for the factory fitted ones, I've found that dealer prices are far more expensive than the Tow bar specialists, most dealers sub contract them put anyway.
EF Jones are really professional and do a great fitting job at your home our place of work, they have all the correct gear and fit the correct electrics and software changes for your model.
Regards
Chris

Agree with Chris. July last I had a swan neck fitted to C4GP and price was £450.
The electrics at £26 is only a 7 pin connector, the Citroen price for cabling, relay etc is £233. I read that from the website this afternoon.
Some local specialists would be the way to go for quotes.
