C3 aircross battery

Tonight I went to jump start my daughters car following flat battery, opened my bonnet and the battery only has one electrode, well visible anyway, and even that didnt show positive or negative?! Anyone know anything about the c3 aircross battery (petrol 1.2 engine), first time I have had a problem identifying a battery.

See page 202 of the manual.
The battery has 2 terminals of course, but only the + positive terminal is accessible, and there is a reason for this ("smart" battery charging). Connect the -negative terminal to the engine mount for jump starting.

Hi
I have one of those RAC insurance self-install black boxes. I took the lid off my battery to connect + and -. Very confused. Can anyone help? Thanks
