After only 12 months my Aircon had to be recharged! I am told there was no leak. I was charged for this because I had obviously not occasionally used the aircon during the cold months! Apparently you have to not only turn the aircon on during the cold months but also set to a cold temperature. I may not have done the latter, but I have never had this issue on past cars?
What's the chances of getting my money back from Citroen?

Not sure why you would need it re-charged. I know they say in the manual to use it occasionally to stop mould from forming within the system but don't see how that would cause it to lose freon (or whatever they put in it nowadays). Still, perhaps it does... I use mine throughout the winter when clearing the mist from the inside of the window so I haven't come up with this issue.
As for getting your money back... if it says in the manual "Do it" and you didn't, probably pretty slim but you can always try.
