C5 Aircross delivery delay

Ordered my C5 Aircross Flair in February with a 2nd April 2019 delivery date.
Have since been informed by the dealer that there are delays and that I will be getting a letter from Citroen sometime this week.
The dealer has also said that their deliveries of new cars has been quite sporadic but doesn't seem to know why (or at least isn't saying so if he does)

Has anyone got any idea what is going on? Is it just the C5 or are other models affected?

I am in the same boat. I have received the letter from Citroën which informs me that there will be a delay but not much else in the way of information as to when I might expect delivery. After doing my own research it seems that my car is in the country at Sheerness but is log jammed there because there are not enough transporters to clear the quantity at the docks. This is down to the uncertainty of Brexit and all manufacturers are affected. Many of the cars are factory orders for customers and other are stock ordered by dealers in an attempt to get them into the country before we leave the EU. It is all down to the 10.7% levy on imported cars that would apply under WTO rules. Due to the UK governments faffing about there is a lack of clarity about when the tariff would become a reality hence the unexpected quantity of new cars stuck at British ports. I have already received the V5C from the DVLA so know for certain it is in the UK - just can't get it.

Many thanks Andy that was very helpful.
At least I know the dealer is being honest about things, just wish they and Citroen were more open about the problem, although I must admit the dealer (TAW Citroen) do seem to be a bit in the dark and have said that Peugeot and BMW have similar problems.

Like you I've already got the V5C registration and the car has been taxed from 1st April so if the delivery is delayed by too many weeks I will expect someone to come up with some sort of recompense for the lost tax (won't hold my breath though).
How did you manage to find out where yours was? Is there a site I can go to?

Certainly agree with you about the bunch of clowns in Westminster - a shining example to the rest of the civilised world of how to turn a simple instruction into a playground fight between all the chinless wonders who think they know better than everyone else!!!

Hi Paul,
My dealer looked up the location of my vehicle on his system. Apparantly it's a bit hit and miss until it is in the country as being at a port awaiting a ship doesn't necessarily mean they will be loaded in build order. Things get a bit shuffled about at this stage and is out of the manufacturer's control.

Going to ring the dealer tomorrow to see if there's any news but I doubt he will know anything more. Guess I'll just have to wait and keep fingers crossed its not too much longer.

Flair 1.6 Petrol EAT8 in Cumulus Grey

Dealer contacted me to say the car is being delivered to them on Tuesday and will ready for collection on Saturday, so I guess not too much of a delay.
Hope you get some good news soon Andy.

Picked mine up today. Have only done seven miles driving it home. I have just realised that it is quarter to two in the morning as I have been reading the online full manual. Must get some sleep. I will post some pictures on Monday as I am out all day tomorrow.
Good luck for next Saturday.
Andy.

I ordered a C5 Aircross Flair+ on 12th February 2019. At the time I was given to understand that the car should be delivered in about six weeks. I was subsequently told that the car was in the country and it would be available before the end of March and then told that the car should be available by mid April. It is now mid April so I am very surprised and disappointed that I still do not have a confirmed delivery date.

Learned today, production first week of may, than it takes 2 weeks to get the car to Germany.
Foreseen delivery end of may. In total abt 14 weeks.
