Stop/start function
Is always on. Only works when a number of conditions are met. Full battery (more than 80% generally) and number of functions in use e.g. air conditioning, wipers etc. Handbook explains. You can switch it off once engine starts but it is always reset when you stop engine.
Out of interest didn’t the dealer cover this in the handover?
Common concern with stop/start on any car is that it works every time. It does not and should not as battery must always have a charge to restart.
