While power washing my C5 aircross, yesterday I noticed that the electric mirrors unfolded three times on their own. The car has keyless entry. During the wash, the car was switched off and there was a person inside, thus it was not closed. I might be mistaken but I noticed that the electric mirrors were unfolding when I was spraying the wheels with water. To be fair, I am not certain because I was in a little bit of a hurry.
This morning the car drove and closed normally so I do not think that there are apparent issues with sensors or central lock. However, the episode was quite curious.
Electric Mirrors/Central Locking Issue?
Presume you had the key in your pocket or in the car, this is a normal behavior.
The touch buttons on the doors are activated by the water, as the water is a Electric conductor.
Had this also with my ex Insignia, Bmw, DS5, so Nothing to worry About
