We received a "Parking Charge Notice" from a private parking company 2 weeks ago stating they had no record of us paying on a particular day in December last year. i appealed this notice stating we use it regular and have never used it without paying and that just word of mouth that we have not paid is unacceptable, and to provide me with proof. Also that they should have notified us within 14 days of the so called parking offence, as the law states that if nothing is placed on your windscreen then they must notify you within 14 days.
Anyway, we got email today stating they are going to uphold our appeal stating "an incorrect digit had been entered" and to please ensure correct digits are entered in the future, nothing about the 14 day rule. So please be ware with private car parks that you are all aware of the rules which are easily available on google.
