Hi
I´m Bosse, and I´m from Sundsvall, Sweden.
Have had my C5 aircross since mid september.
It´s a 2019/02 1,6 180 hp. Had 4000 km on the meter when I bought it. So pleased with it.
This is my forth Citronën since 2004..
Only C5´s. The one before this, was a 2.2 CT. They´ve all been diesels.
But this one runs on petrol.
But why petrol this time?
Because the Swedish gouverment has decideed, that all new cars from 2019 have to pay a higer yearly tax during the first 3 years. After these 3 years, it´s lowered with 30-40%
If i´ve had bought a C5 aircross diesel, it would have cost me around 1000 Euro/year.
This one cost me 300 Euro/ year, and from 2022, it would only cost me around 150-160 Euro/year.

Have a merry X-mas and a better 2021!

Yes dirty diesel seems to be the ugly duckling by governments at the moment, but useful to many if doing a lot of miles.

Welcome to this friendly forum, I am now on my 6th Citroen.
I too have switched to Petrol on my latest car, but I must admit I miss the Diesel engines in my previous 2 cars! My DS3 HDi was such an economical and flexible car to drive, I'm only a low milage driver but the trips to the filling station are noticeably far more frequent now!
Happy Christmas to you too!
