Having had a long association with French cars am now the proud owner of a C5 Aircross plus. Both my late father
and my father in law owned Citroen’s and Renault’s and my 88 year old Mum remembers her first car journey in a
Traction Avant. My C5 was purchased in March and although I unfortunately have not had much chance to
drive it due to lockdown we had the absolute please of
a 7 day holiday in Scotland during September. The car behaved impeccably over 1700 miles on some of the most
varied roads imaginable. My verdict is the car is fabulous in every way. My last car was a Mercedes ML with air suspension which at 170,000 miles was ready for retirement. A great car but I had a number of issues during
ownership so I hope the Aircross will be more reliable.
It’s certainly more economic with around 42 mpg with the
Eat8 1.6 petrol so far much better than the MLS average 28 from its Diesel V6. The Aircross is revelation in both ride and spec.
