Central locking

hi, i open my car door and the central locking has a fit .......... clunk clunk clunk
is the an electrical fault or something more sinister

If you have hands free vehicle entry, I would clean behind each of the front door handles very gently. Next I would check all the door and tailgate door latches for obstruction.
Try locking and unlocking with the fob a few times and seeing if that clears it. If the problem persists, it will need a diagnostic to see if there are any fault codes reported.

i know its took me a year to reply, but hey ho
the fault was a short on the drivers door handle new handle fitted cost in paint £600 !!!!!!
