C5 Aircross Frozen Wipers

Hi All,
First hard frost this morning and had to put front and rear defrost on.
Even when windscreen cleared and warmed up wiper blades still frozen.
Noticed they sit below line of defrost vents along bottom of windscreen do do not really get warmed up.
It took some time for them to be usable and were that solid were impossible to use without horrible scraping noise and smearing windscreen.
Anyone else noticed this?
Going to fun when weather really gets really cold and they freeze when driving!
Bit of a design fault Citroen shame as I really love this car.

I think most cars wipers are nowadays below the scuttle line. I use de-icer rather than running the engine while stationary until the ice clears; think of the emissions whilst doing that! That's why cars have stop/start now, to reduce emissions when running the engine unnecessarily...
