Hi All,
I've just gone over the 9K Mileage on my C5 Aircross and have just added AdBlue again.
Since owning I've added 22 litres.
I've not had an engine with Adblue before and speaking to some Colleges who have Fords and Audi they just get it topped up between services.
So question is is this normal for this engine? How much are you putting in?

Previous car was a 1.6 Honda Civic Diesel and could get around 58 MPG easily.
C5 I'm only averaging 48, what are the rest of you getting?

Len

Assuming it has a similar size tank to other Citroens, the tank has a capacity of ~17L, and you should get a warning at ~12,000 miles. To use 22L of Adblue with normal consumption, you should have done no less than ~16,000 miles. Much less than that and you have an issue, either over dosing or you have a leak. Assuming either of these, I would suggest you get it looked at at an agent.

I replaced 9.4 litres of AdBlue at 4000 miles when the ">1500 miles" warning came up on the display.

I will monitor the consumption over the next interval.

The cost of the AdBlue works out at approx. 0.25p per mile; not a particularly excessive amount with an average fuel consumption of 54.8 mpg on Shell V-Power diesel.
