Re: Own Dash Cam hardwire on C5 Aircross
Hi, Apologies for the delay in responding. The rear cable is BlackVue CC-10, which is 10 metres in length - too much really, but no other option. The fuse is number 31 in the lower dash fusebox inside the glovebox. It's not easy to get at - you need to persevere! :) The big red cable is from the pig...

Re: Tom Tom traffic on sat nav
I've had TomTom satnav on my last three cars (including current - and in 8 years it's only been unavailable once. My assumption is that your dealer is talking BS. When you say it's not working, do you mean the SatNav is offline (i.e. no TomTom logo in bottom right-hand corner)? Or does it not work a...

Re: Tyre alignment
Thank you Juan, does that mean adjustments must be carried out by a citroen dealer ? has anyone had tracking carried out by a tyre fitting unit or garage. Thanks Unfortunately, many dealers do not have the equipment or expertise to do a proer alignment. Several years ago I took my daughter's Fiat P...

Re: Does ConnectedCAM record all the time?
Yes it does, and yes you can. The amount of recording is limited by the size of the memory in the camera, so if it's a long journey you may not get the whole thing; you will get the end, but the beginning may have been recorded over because of limited space.

It states in the 'How to' pdf for updating your satnav that it must be formatted to FAT32.

Re: Own Dash Cam hardwire on C5 Aircross
I took my rear cable along the floor under the floor edge trims, into the NS rear wheel-arch trim, then up the NS tailgate aperture under the rubber seal to the door.

Re: Own Dash Cam hardwire on C5 Aircross
I have installed a BlackVue Front & Rear camera in my car. I ran the power down the nearside windscreen pillar cover, which can be removed easily with care. I took it through to the fusebox behind the glovebox and connected it with a piggy-back fuse to the fuse that powers the power socket. The ...

Re: Safety failure of C5 aircross
I'm glad you survived both with few consequences. I think that the 'hiiting a solid wall at 20mph' element of the requirement is a head-on crash specification, and in other crashes the G-force is the relevant factor. That is illustrated by your example of the Saab's airbags deploying when it was onl...

Re: Safety failure of C5 aircross
According to the RoSPA (Royal Scoiety for the Prevention of Accidents) website, airbags should operate if hitting a solid, immoveable object such as a concrete wall at a speed of 20mph (32kph), and that speed is mitigated by the deformable structures of the car - ie. if you hit another car which has...
