Re: Intermittent Oil Pressure Light
Yes you should be concerned. The engine has a cambelt which runs in oil, and the belt can start to disintegrate. When this happens the bits of rubber block the oilways starving the engine and turbo of oil. It can also block oilways to the brake vacuum pump (turbo engines only) leading to potential b...

Re: Hello from Glasgow
Hello everybody, I've had my C5 Aircross about 6 weeks now and so far I’m really enjoying it far more than the the 4 month old Qashqai that I hated and dumped to buy the C5. I’d say truthfully that the only thing I don’t like is having to use the screen to adjust the AC & heater but that seems ...

Re: Terrible MPG
I have a car which has an instantaneous cumulative mpg reading from start (1.5 petrol manual). For the first mile or so the consumption barely reaches 25mpg. It then slowly improves but doesn't get anywhere 40mpg as the penalty for the first mile or so has to be averaged out. The car will do 50+mpg ...

Re: C5 boot issue - maybe user error?
I had an issue with my C3. You should be able to unlock the car doors by operating the boot button, but mine stopped working. I could use the button to unlock if i moved round the car until the key was near either rear wheel. Took it in and was told that there are 3 aerials which pick up signals fro...

Designator wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 11:58 am Erm, Maths isn't my strong point but if 1km =5/8 of a mile then isn't 39.6km 22.9 miles?
You are correct. I think I mucked up big-time. Shows how much a 50 year old mathe A level is worth.

No problem.Designator wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 10:35 am Now THAT makes sense, let's hope the software engineers can read this post in English although you may have to show your working out!
~4.5 L = 1 gallon. 1 km ==5/8 mile.
So 8.8 km/litre = 8.8 x 4.5 = 39.6 km/gallon = 39.6 x 8 / 5 = 63.36 miles/ gallon.

Re: Statistics MPG very low C5 across hybrid
I just completed a 194 mile journey in hybrid mode. The actual fuel consumption (full tank to full tank) was 14.53 litres which comes out as about 60 mpg. The statistics display reads 8.8 mpg! Who knows what that's meant to be!! I have visions of a very harassed software programmer somewhere in an ...

Re: C3 aircross 2020 Flywheel
Had my aircross for 3 weeks now . Just after purchase I noticed rattle from engine that disappeared when clutch is pressed in . I suspected dual mass flywheel or clutch . Took back to dealer who said because it is still within 3 year warranty period it will need to go to Citroen dealer . It is book...
