Re: C5 aircross auto lock

On most Citroens, the only time the car will autolock is when you unlock the car, then do not pen a door. It will relock within a couple of minutes. May not be true for the latest cars.

Re: Frozen gearstick in icy weather

I suggest if possible you leave the engine running for 10 minutes before you need to use it to help warm up the gearbox, but the oil in very cold temps can really thicken up, so can take a while to get going. Just be gentle and don't go forcing anything. If you run the car to allow it to warm up, d...

Re: Timing belt kit

If this is for a 1.2 Petrol, with the known issues I wouldn't go for anything other than a kit from the dealer.

Re: Water leak

As the car only appears 2 months old, you should take it to a dealer.

Re: C3 Aircross 2018 MPG readout

What do you mean by 'lifelong fuel consumtion'? If it is similar to our C3, the only consumption figures you can get are on the little central screen. These are the figure since reset (press and hold the button on the end of the wiper stalk) and the instantaneous consumption (accessed by rotating the...

Re: Middle Seat

I don't kkow whether the seat pull is similar to the ones on a C4 Picasso, but I lost one of mine and got a replacement quite cheaply from Citroen. May be worth an enquiry.

Re: I need a newer car!

We have a 19 reg C3. The C3 boot is considerably bigger than the C1, although it is probably smaller than an Aircross. We rarely have any issue with capacity, although my wife's mother's walker is a bit on the snug side. The C3 seats do not slide and the backrest isn't adjustable. All you can do is ...

Do you mean a C3 or a C3 Aircross.

Re: C3 electric power steering

Is there any reason yoy think that it is an ECU problem? There was a problem with Vauxhalls a few years ago, and it was steering rack sensors. You really need to get the faults checked if you haven't already.

Re: Intermittent Oil Pressure Light

Sound like it should be OK. Two other points. 1. When you start the car, does it give the 'oil level correct' message? 2. The oil pick-up on these engines is towards the front of the car. If you park facing up a slope, the oil may not reach the pick-up in the sump. This will cause the low oil pressu...
