Re: Supermarket or Company fuel

I have used supermarket fuel almost exclusively for donkey's years and never had any issue with it, both petrol or diesel. The report seems to indicate that there are no issues with supermarket fuels.

Re: Sensors - parking and lateral

Good luck with the blind spot system. My C3 has had an issue for about a year. After one agent couldn't find the problem, another diagnosed a failed sensor, two offside sensors to be replaced. Issue diagnosed end of October, sensors on back order. Still waiting with no indication of when they may be...

Re: C5A v C4 Initial thoughts after 5 days

I watched a video about a journey in an EV the other day. He said he didn't think it was 'range anxiety' but 'charger anxiety'. What he meant was 'when I need a charger will I be able to find one, will it be in working order, will it be in use on another car which will be there for an extended time?...

Re: C5 Blindspot Warning not working

Here is my fault. Not a failure but a false positive. It consistently picks up kerbs, hedges, fences, anything stationary that is within about a driving lane width. Works as it should most of the time apart from frequent failure that switches the system off for a few seconds up to nearly 2 minutes. ...

Re: C5 Blindspot Warning not working

We have an issue with active blind spot mirrors on the new C4 after we p/exd our C5 Aircross. The orange indicator on both mirrors illuminates on engine start up, and they both work.. but after a short while the n/s mirror blind spot stops working completely. Off side works fine... switched them of...

Re: Current car?

Unfortunately they didn't prevent someone putting a small dent in our nearside rear door when the car was only a few days old.

Re: New car delivery

That's the best idea. My 2020 C3 Aircross was handed to me on 7th Feb 2020. Imagine my surprise when the V5C turned up showing date of registration 31 January. Which means it has to be taxed on the 1st January. So all of you buying new make sure of the reg date. It also means MOT is 5 weeks early t...

Re: Current car?

IIRC, when we bought our C3 the airbumps were standard through the range, but on the top Flair trim they were a free delete option.

Re: Diesel or Petrol??

I have run 8 diesel cars since 2000, and although they are now a lot cleaner than the early ones (3 Renaults without particle filters that were difficult to get through MOTs, emissions are still potentially an issue. All diesels produce soot particles, its just that you can't see them in newer dpf f...

Re: Spanner lit and oil light flashing

There are two separate issues here. One is low oil pressure due to the oil pick=uip being above the level of the oil. If you stop on the level, switch off, wait two minutes and restart, the warnings will go away. This seems to affect both diesels (certainly my 2.0HDi) and 1.2 3 cylinder petrol engin...
