Re: This must be a record.

I went camping in a very remote part of Scotland. A chap turns up in a brand new Mazda 3. We sit having brekki watching him clearly in some distress, pressing buttons and looking confused. Long story short....it was the Citroen rescuing the Mazda....jump starting it...so he could atleast get going t...

Re: Oil reading confusion

UPDATE To get to exactly ' max ' on the dip stick I extracted approx 500 ml out the engine, with a extraction pump. Incidentally, my friend just also had his puretech ( Peugeot) just serviced at the dealer and AGAIN the his reading was also over max. We did the same and also extracted approx 500 ml ...

Oil reading confusion

Anyone heard of this oddity. .. C3 Aircross......82 puretech petrol. Capacity is 0.25 in oil filter and 3.25l in the engine = so 3.5 litres total I did an oil change and did exactly that....yet every time I read the dip stick it's showing as massively overfilled. Like wayyy over the Max line. I reca...

Re: C3 Aircross rear disc

My rear discs were shot after about 16000 miles too....Very disappointed.... And yes, the bearings are incorporated into the disc so they do cost more to replace. But the new ones they have put on look and feel a million times better quality.

Re: Brake fluid

My car had gone 2 years and I wanted the fluid changed but the garage said it was still ok for another year. They just didn't seem particularly worried about it. Now I'm closing on 3 years I'm going to insist.

Oil sump plug / C3 Aircross

Just putting on case it helps somebody. If you're going to do an oil change on a C3 Aircross petrol.....do yourself a favour and make sure you get a new sump plug seal. I tried it cut corners and use the old one and was presented by drip drip drip....I know I know......more work in the long r...

Re: automatic headlights

Thanks Juan and thanks Dave. I think your definitely right there as I felt it was more a case of the immobiliser stopping the car from starting, So far it's been okay on start up, but I want to keep my eye on it. In terms of the auto lights flashing off and on in hot weather; this has now stopped wi...

Re: automatic headlights

I've got this happening on my Aircross now.....only when hot and sunny like the sensor doesn't like the heat so it throws a wobble. The same issue with just lights off and on, off and on. Trouble is, I really don't have time to take it to the dealership for them to give me the strap line " we c...
