Re: 1.5 BlueHDi engine timing chain information.
You misunderstand I think. It isn't the timing belt that is the issue, we're talking about the camshaft gear timing chain, shown here at (3): C3 AC Timing Chain.png The actual timing belt (2) is not affected and has nothing to do with the issue of this thread. ;) Happy to be corrected (I have no cl...

Re: 1.5 BlueHDi engine timing chain information.
Do these belts get replaced with the 8mm version when the timing belt replacement service is due?

Re: Opinions on best engine to match EA8 on C5Aircross
IMO The 15. Deisel is a good match for the EAT 8 (I have one) - Given your low milage I would suggest you look at the 1.2 petrol edition, don't be fooled by the small size as one of the benefits of the EAT 8 as the more gears you have the better suited it is for smaller engines. Test drive one and I...

Re: Safety failure of C5 aircross
I too would be interested in the full report and am glad your all ok, but I bet you were really stiff the next day? I am wondering had the airbags deployed in your case would they have caused more injury than they would have prevented? Looking at the vehicle it appears that the windscreen didn't bre...

Re: C5 Aircross Screen Updates...
If anyone has Linux or WSL on windows, then I recommend using the axel download manger: ``` apt install axel axel -n 50 https://majestic-web.mpsa.com/nas/eu/mjb00/RCC_EU/rcc-firmware/PSA_rcc-firmware_5_093_20-0H022-3_RCC_EU_W3_ECO.tar ``` OMM the above is maxing out my download capacity and will ta...

Re: Android Auto
I would strongly recommend Anker USB cables (and pretty much all their products). Personally I use this one: "Anker PowerLine II 3-in-1 Cable" which has adapters to switch between USB C and Apple (for the wife) on the phone end (Anker have their own store in Amazon.co.uk).

Re: Tyre pressure monitoring
I believe the way they work is based on average rotations, so if one wheel starts to do more (or less?) rotations, it would indicate that the pressure has changed. If all wheels were slowly deflating by the same amount, it wouldn't notice...

Could it be a foot pedal (the bit under the rubber)?

Re: C5 Aircross ConnectedCAM
FWIW I don't enable the auto connect setting on the WIFi entry on my phone and manually connect when I need to. But now that the novelty has worn off I never connect via the phone (too slow), the one time I needed to review some footage, I just plugged my laptop in via USB and downloaded that way (a...
