The engines with the wet belt issue are the 3 cylinder petrol engines,the mst powerful being the 130bhp version. I assume the car you are looking at is a diesel, but if it is petrol (I'm not too familiar with petrol avilability) it is not one with the common wet belt issue.

My petrol 2019 C3 is fitted with a GPF, so I think that this may be causing the issue. Unlike diesels there is no additive to help clear the filter.

Very few manuals have synchromesh reverse gears but I am aware some Japanese cars have one. If you have trouble selecting gear, try moving to neutral, raise and relower the clutch and it may go in easier.

My suspicion is an ABS sensor fault, an ABS rotor fault or a break in the ABS wiring.

How old is the car? Is it still under warranty? If so I suggest a visit to the dealer.
