Re: Tyre valves

Update: since changing the dustcaps in Spain, there has been no further loss of pressure. So maybe the dodgy dustcap theory is something to remember?

Re: Automatic

I always considered an automatic as an old man's car. Well I'm old now and I absolutely love this gearbox. Pulling away (gently) it's almost quiet enough to pass for an electric vehicle. Almost. With recent fuel prices, I rarely give it the full beans, and as a result, it's a smooth take-off and a g...

Re: Trip Computer not working

Thanks both of you for the replies, and apologies for the slow answer. In the year I've owned the car, I've done the same thing. I have the display set to DRIVING normally and to NAVIGATION on long runs. Both have the trip computer as part of the display. It's correct that the thumb button on the st...

Trip Computer not working

Anyone experienced this? I just sold one of the children, to afford to top up on petrol yesterday. As I usually do I went to reset Trip1 -keeping Trip 2 for long-term MPG. As usual, I pressed the end of the stalk, but nothing happened. The display stayed exactly as it was. Also, it wouldn't scroll b...

Re: Tyre valves

Dodgy dustcaps?

That's definitely worth checking. I'm might pick up a spare set before I go off on my travels.

Re: C5 Aircross Rear Wiper Arm

Just to add, I missed the Citroen Parts Direct link above - I took it for an advert! I couldn't get W****** of Southampton to answer the phone. The same with P****** of Poole. Rowcliffe's in Yeovil ordered the wiper blade and I picked it up today**. Great service. But I'll be checking CPD for a coup...

Re: Tyre valves

That's interesting @Juan Sheet. i'm heading down to the Costa Brava area next week and with 20000 miles on the tyres, wondered about swapping them round. (Back in the day, this used to be a Thing- for the younger readers). The reply I got was along the lines of, the TPMS sensors are coded to specifi...

Tyre valves

I noticed slight marking on the front tyres, indicating under-inflation and on checking them, found they were indeed a few pounds under. That was about a month ago. I had a service done this week and the garage told me they had pumped them up to the correct pressure ( as on the plate by the driver's...
